A thick and heavy 600gm Traceable British Wool country tweed cloth.

Manufactured in Yorkshire from the Dalesbred breed of sheep as part of our Clapdale Wool project.

The Dalesbred wool in this cloth has gone no further than 50 miles from the sheep it was sheared from, to the yarn spinners and to the mill the cloth was woven in.

This cloth is reasonably coarse, like the hardy Dalesbred breed* it comes from, perfect for suiting and country tweed clothing. 

Cloth is 150cm wide and weighs just over 600g per metre, if you order more than 1 metre we will cut it accordingly so you receive just one piece of fabric. Also available in .

*Contains a blend of Dalesbred and Cheviot wool. We originally wanted a 100% Dalesbred tweed but we found the fibre of this mountain sheep breed would have been too thick on its own to go through the weaving machines. We therefore had to source a finer wool to blend it with.
